Join our team of outstanding people with expertise across a wide variety of disciplines and position yourself at the forefront of tomorrow’s capabilities.This is your opportunity to join a fast-moving company that works on interesting and unique projects to support Australia’s Defence mission and contribute to the critical outcomes of the Australian Defence Force.As part of the Facilities Management team, you will undertake daily operational duties as prescribed by the Building and Grounds Supervisor.Deliver the safe, effective and efficient delivery of facilities and grounds maintenance.Key responsibilitiesDelivery of planned preventative and corrective maintenancePerform repairs and improvements to facilities and equipmentPropagate, plant, and undertake revegetation across diverse landscapes.Perform general grounds tasks including debris and rubbish removal, cleaning of outdoor features and hardstand areas.Hedge & tree trimmingMowing, edging & whipper snippingControl weeds and pests through the application of herbicides.Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition.Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical handling protocols.Support other technicians and team members as required. Qualifications and experienceTrade background is advantageousQualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous.Current Manual Driver’s LicensePolice clearanceStrong communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to work independentlyReliable, punctual, and well-presentedAbility to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blowerPossess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.Physically fit and comfortable working in varied environments (roofs, subfloors, outdoors)Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security clearance as needed.
