The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to support Hot Section Module Center South as a Turbine Grind Process Manufacturing Engineer.What You Will Do:Technologies with this Process engineer role include Creep Feed Grinding, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Robotic deburr, CMM and manual gage inspection .Process Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilities include:PFMEA and Control Plan creationDevelop process for new product introductions and development parts and collaborate with design engineering and IPTTrack, compile, and analyze data to understand process capability for decision making and generating projectsImplementation of new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation and release to production.First Article Inspection and control of manufacturing softwareSignificant interaction with the hourly work force, tool designers, quality assurance, Integrated Product Teams, systems designers, Information Systems, and program assembly partners are typical of the position.Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs /escapes and reduce overall assembly costsHelp create and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.)Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.Participate in CORE/ lean manufacturing initiativesQualifications You Must Have:A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experienceExperience in GD&T, blueprint readingSiemens NX – Drafting, modeling, CAMNC ProgrammingStatistical Process ControlTechnical writing, communications skillsJ/C Export Control KnowledgeQualifications We Value:You hold a degree in: Mechanical ,Aeronautical, Metallurgical Engineering or Material ScienceStrong Project Management skillsLean Manufacturing, ACE, CORE, Six Sigma, Red X, RCCA, problem solving, process control methodologiesProcess knowledge NDT inspection techniques (FPI, X-ray).General knowledge of NC machines, spindles, axis, drives, scales (FANUC or Siemens)Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Responsibilities
