Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band RADAR and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a bright and energised C-Band RADAR Technician to join our inspired team.In return, we will support you with access to best practice tools, systems and processes while continually investing in your growth by providing tailored learning and development opportunities.Reporting to the Space System Supervisor (C-Band RADAR) you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, technical investigations, supporting configuration change activities, actioning customer requests and additional tasks to support both program and operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming planned and corrective maintenance on the C-Band RADAR System and associated SubsystemsMaintenance planning and reportingRADAR calibrations and interpretation of resultsWorking in a LINUX system environmentTechnical report writingLogistics supportMaintaining strong relationships with domestic and international stakeholdersOnly employees willing to relocate to Exmouth region will be considered for the role – relocation assistance may be consideredSkills, Experience and QualificationsA minimum of a Certificate III in Electronics (Communications or Control) or relevant technical disciplineDefence/Maritime Radar, Combat System, Complex Communication and/or Mechanical System experienceExcellent analytical/fault-finding skillsAbility to confidently operate and interpret data from a wide range of test equipmentCandidates must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
