We are searching for a skilled and motivated individual with prior software engineering experience to contribute to the development and sustainment of our Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide. We design and implement safety-of-life air traffic management systems for multinational customers that are used for controlling and monitoring civil and military aviation traffic. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge COTS tools, processes, and methodologies while further develop your technical skills to support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the software development lifecycle.This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.What YOU will do:Design, develop, and maintain software for integration into our Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) products.Perform software development, integration, testing, and validation for safety-critical systems in a Unix/Linux environment.Write and maintain technical documentation and work instructions that adhere to ATS SED’s software engineering standards and processes.Actively participate in the Agile development process, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders to ensure project goals and milestones are met.Implement and troubleshoot software solutions using modern development methodologies, tools, and technologies.Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative solutions for complex challenges in the aerospace and defense domain.What YOU will learn:You will learn about our growing engineering team in Puerto Rico; What we do?
