Come innovate with us!Position SummaryIn your role as a Diffusion Process Engineer, you'll work alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutionsRole and ResponsibilitiesHere's what you'll be responsible for:Monitor and respond to in-line issues in the wafer fabrication Diffusion process, ensuring timely disposition of wafers.Qualify Diffusion processes on advanced tools for wafer fabrication.Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing and equipment teams.Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and inform processing decisions.Adjust process parameters as needed and monitor equipment performance after maintenance.Executes change point management on Diffusion processes / equipmentContinuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Develop device improvements with cross-departmental risk-mitigation and coordinated experimentsSkills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study 2+ years of semi-conductor experience highly desired with knowledge of Diffusion processes and equipment preferred.Flexibility to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environmentAbility to work in the fab for 4 hours a day in an office environment where a cleanroom gown is required.Ability to sit regularly while performing work duties; with the ability to frequently walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.​The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $120,000.00. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.Day Shifts Include:A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating WednesdaysC Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating WednesdaysNight Shifts Include:B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating SaturdaysD Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating SaturdaysTotal RewardsAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
