Come innovate with us!Position SummaryThe Photo Team at SAS is seeking a process engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.Role and ResponsibilitiesMonitors the wafer fabrication process by responding to in-line issues and dispositions of production wafers Qualifies wafer fabrication processes on new tools. Coordinates the scheduling of process qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing or equipment engineering.Uses software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product. Makes adjustments when process parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance. Executes in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment. Communicates technical information within the department through presentations. Completes other duties as assigned. Continuously revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Develops improved processes to increase capability.Skills and QualificationsEducation, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required:BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer ScienceCumulative GPA Minimum: 3.0Eligible to work in the US without sponsorshipWilling to relocate to Austin, TexasKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools: Scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent languageUnderstanding of statistical methodsChange Point ManagementPresentation and Technical WritingUnderstanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principlesStructure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc..)Software Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)Troubleshooting Equipment or Process failuresHigh InitiativeWear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per the SAS FAB protocolMust be able to lift < 35 lbsWork in tight fitting, FAB environmentSits at a computer terminal, uses a computer for extended periods of timeVision – May be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lightsAble to discern audible alarmsPotential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicalsSupport and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environmentThe current base salary range for this role is between $70,480- $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.Total RewardsAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (experience)
  • Cumulative GPA Minimum: 3.0 (experience)
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship (experience)
  • Willing to relocate to Austin, Texas (experience)
