Come innovate with us!Position SummaryWhile the system is monitored in a Central Control Room (CCR) via a Facilities Monitoring & Control system (FMCS), the Shift Operations Technician will be dispatched to the field to physically investigate as first responders. The operations technician will also operate and check on a variety of electrical equipment such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), Diesel Generators, Transfer Switches, Breakers, and more. Another basic function of the shift electrician is to perform basic preventative maintenance on distribution system equipment: taking thermal readings performing corrective maintenance, and more.Role and ResponsibilitiesHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Customer facing electrical device operations and troubleshooting.Tour electrical room and identify any abnormal conditions. Perform routine 6S inspection.Minor preventative and corrective/breakdown maintenance. Update activities in an equipment management system for work performed.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment and repair, and to ensure compliance with NEC and job site specificationsWork from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, inside cleanrooms, high noise areas and hot environments to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.Perform troubleshooting of relay controls, variable frequency drives (VFD), motor control centers, synchronous drives, and more.Escort vendors/contractors/non-electrical employees into electrical rooms.Respond to central control room (CCR) requests for site alarms or site/fab issues.Complete Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) based training that is required to perform electrical work at site.Take part in Safety and Quality activities to improve onsite performance.Be an active contributor to site electrical safety improvements and improve the team's NEC/NFPA70E level of knowledge.Take part in shift pass down, which should include, but not limited to: actions performed during shift, any abnormal conditions, and outstanding action items.Provide technical assistance and coaching to junior team members as needed to improve overall level of knowledge and job satisfaction.Identify and escalate any procedural, equipment, and personnel items requiring supervisor or management attention.Use Infra Equipment Management System (iEMS) to track repairs and preventative maintenance.Establish and write policies, procedures and guidelines for plant operations and maintenance.Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need: Minimum 7 years working with electrical systems, motor control circuits or automation equipment; a high school diploma/GED is required, while a technical school diploma, associate degree, or industrial maintenance background is strongly preferred.Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferredNEC: Proven proficiency in NEC through maintenance or electrical projects.CMMS Proficiency: Ability to navigate a Computerized Maintenance Management System to log repairs, manage parts inventory, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks.Hands on Electrical Skills: Practical experience with wiring, relay controls, and motor control centers, ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation.Problem Solving Mindset: Demonstrated track record of diagnosing and resolving complex electrical/automation issues with minimal downtime. Preferred, but not required.The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years working with electrical systems, motor control circuits or automation equipment; a high school diploma/GED is required, while a technical school diploma, associate degree, or industrial maintenance background is strongly preferred. (experience, 7 years)
