The company develops Specs, advanced eyewear that seamlessly integrates digital experiences into the physical world.Specs feature see-through lenses that place digital objects directly into three-dimensional space, powered by Snap OS, a proprietary, context-aware operating system designed for natural interaction with your hands and voice.Specs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a full suite of advanced developer tools that powers immersive augmented reality experiences across Specs, Snapchat, and other services.We’re looking for a Desense Engineer to join the Spectacles team!What you’ll do:Develop and implement innovative RF desense solutions (hardware and software) to ensure robust system performanceCollaborate with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, and software teams to integrate RF systems into Spectacles products and ensure compliance with performance standardsConduct rigorous lab and OTA testing of RF systems, perform sensitivity and coexistence testing (LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, Bluetooth, etc.), and validate performance against industry standardsCharacterize desense caused by internal aggressors (CPU, memory, power converters, displays, etc.) and external interferers. Trace root causes using probes, shielding tests, grounding checks, and layout reviewsIdentify system performance bottlenecks (impacts) due to antenna, RF board, assembly dependencies, multi-radio operation, etc.Develop and execute coexistence test plans and generate validation reportsAuthor clear and comprehensive documentationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong RF, antenna, EMI, EMC, and coexistence engineering fundamentalsKnowledge of wireless communication standards including WiFi, BT, BLE, GPS, 4G LTE, 5G, etc Knowledge of board level design strategies for desense and EMI minimization, signal integrity, and isolation.Experience working with systems that include high-speed digital interfaces such as MIPI CSI / DSI, PCIe, SDIO / eMMC, UFS, etcProven ability to use common RF and electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power suppliesUnderstanding of RF PCB design, associated constraints, impedance matching, and filter tuningProficiency with RF simulation/design tools (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, Keysight ADS, XFdtd, etc.)Excellent process development and documentation skillsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as electrical engineering, computer science, or physics or equivalent years of experienceAbility to travel including domestic and international (up to 15%)10+ years of experience in electrical, RF, and/or computer engineeringPreferred Qualifications:Master’s or PhD in Wireless, Electromagnetics, Electrical engineering or related field Knowledge of ESD principles for consumer electronicsIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
