Officer – Agentic AI EngineerAbout the RoleWe are seeking driven and technically adept professionals to join our GenAI Center of Excellence at State Street as Agentic AI Engineers. This position is perfect for mid-career engineers who want to independently design, implement, and optimize agent orchestration and multi-agent workflows. You will play a key role in advancing our agentic AI platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers to accelerate innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently designed and implemented complex agent workflows, integrating multiple frameworks such as LangChain, Langraph, or GoogleADK to address specific domain requirements.Lead event-driven architecture development and enhancements for assigned domains.Ensure code quality through advanced testing, code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.Operate and troubleshoot runtime components, maintaining high availability and reliability.Drive improvements in deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).Guide adoption of agentic stack components and best practices for cloud-native implementation.Contribute to platform documentation and establish best practices.Mentor Senior Associates and foster knowledge sharing within the pod.Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering, SRE, and product teams.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying distributed or agentic systems.Proficient in Python and familiar with at least one additional modern programming language (such as Java, Go, or C++).Experience implementing event-driven, microservices, or multi-agent architectures at scale.Solid experience with cloud-native development and operations on AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.Strong background in software testing, code reviews, and agile development methodologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring solutions.Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation.Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.Work ScheduleOn-premiseKeywordsAgentic AI, Agent Orchestration, A2A Protocol, Google ADK, LangGraph, Multi-Agent Workflows, Event-Driven Architecture, Cloud SRE, Runtime EngineeringAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability. Required Qualifications
