Who we are looking forState Street Alpha Middle Office Product Development is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join the Cash Product Optimization (CPO) team supporting the Alpha Cash Services platform.The CPO team is a product optimization and enablement function within the Alpha Cash product development lifecycle, responsible for structuring and refining business requirements, defining product-aligned solutions, and validating product design through real-world use cases.The team ensures that requirements are clear, consistent, and solution-ready, while validating product behavior against complex scenarios and contributing insights to improve scalability, consistency, and usability.At AVP level, the candidate is expected to demonstrate solid understanding of end-to-end cash workflows and system interactions, and the ability to lead requirement and solution discussions, drive alignment across stakeholders, and contribute to solution direction within a global product environmentWhy this role is important to usThis role sits within the Alpha Middle Office Product Development organization, supporting a global platform connecting front, middle, and back office capabilities.The CPO team ensures that business requirements are translated into solution-ready product capabilities and aligned with product standards, improving scalability, consistency, and product adoption.At AVP level, this role plays an important part in ensuring solution quality, driving consistency across use cases, and supporting the overall product operating model.What you will be responsible forAnalyze and refine requirements from Implementation and BAU teams• Translate business requirements into clear product use cases, solution design, and documentation• Perform pre-validation and filtering of incoming requests to ensure readinessDefine and document solution approach, including mappings, rules, and integration flows• Validate end-to-end workflows across Cash Hub, Tier, and downstream systemsLead requirement and solution discussions with stakeholders across Product, Implementation, and Technology teams• Provide guidance and challenge assumptions to ensure optimal product-aligned solutionsDevelop Support Guides and Validation Guides for product scenarios• Provide demos, walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer to downstream teamsEnsure governance processes are followed for requirement intake and change approval• Act as a key contributor to maintaining consistency and quality of product solutionsProvide support and guidance to junior team members, including task coordination, review, and knowledge sharingWhat we valueBachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in financial services (cash, product, or implementation)Strong experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and solution designStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to independently lead discussions and drive solution alignment across stakeholdersHands on experience with trading and accounting systems including upstream and downstream applications is preferred.Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesStrong English Communication skill, written and oralStrong SQL knowledge is preferredExperience in mentoring, guiding, or coordinating junior team members, including reviewing deliverables and providing feedbackAbility to balance individual contribution with light team leadership responsibilitiesStrong ownership mindset with the ability to prioritize work across self and team membersAdditional requirementsFlexibility to support global stakeholders, including evening calls with US teamsAbility to provide occasional support during weekends aligned with product release activitiesAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
