PhilippinesReports To - Regional Security Director / APAC Security DirectorJob Band - Assistant Vice PresidentRole SummaryThe Country Security Manager is responsible for leading and executing the enterprise security strategy within the assigned country ensuring the protection of employees, facilities, operations, information, reputation and business continuity.The role serves as the primary security advisor to local business leadership and oversees physical security, crisis management, investigations, background investigations coordination, threat management, travel security, executive protection coordination, regulatory engagement and security technology programs.The incumbent ensures that security programs are aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and global security standards while maintaining a risk-based approach to safeguarding the organization's people and assets.Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Leadership & GovernanceLead all country security operations and security risk management initiatives.Act as the principal security advisor to country leadership teams.Develop and execute country security strategies aligned with regional and global security objectives.Drive a culture of security awareness, resilience, and operational excellence.Support senior leadership with threat briefings, risk assessments, and security recommendations.Maintain strong partnerships with HR, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Workplace Services, Technology, and Business Continuity teams.Physical Security & Site ProtectionEnsure implementation of physical security standards across all facilities.Oversee access control, CCTV, alarm systems, visitor management, and guard force operations.Conduct security assessments for offices, data centers, and critical infrastructure.Manage security design reviews and security requirements for new offices, renovations, and expansion projects.Ensure operational readiness of security technologies and emergency systems.Risk Assessment & Threat ManagementConduct strategic and operational security risk assessments.Monitor geopolitical, criminal, terrorism, civil unrest, and workplace violence threats affecting business operations.Provide timely risk intelligence and mitigation recommendations.Develop and maintain country security risk registers and treatment plans.Lead security due diligence activities for acquisitions, divestitures, and business expansion initiatives.Crisis Management & Business ResilienceLead security response during emergencies, natural disasters, civil disturbances, terrorism incidents, and workplace crises.Serve as a member of local Crisis Management Teams.Coordinate incident response and recovery efforts with internal stakeholders and external agencies.Develop, test, and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures.Support business continuity and operational resilience programs.Investigations & Incident ManagementDirect and oversee investigations into workplace incidents, threats, misconduct, fraud, theft, and security policy violations.Ensure proper case management, reporting, and evidence handling.Coordinate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and external law enforcement as appropriate.Identify trends and implement preventive security controls.Executive Protection & Travel SecuritySupport executive protection programs for senior leaders visiting or operating within the country.Conduct travel risk assessments and provide protective security guidance.Coordinate security planning for executive visits, board meetings, and special events.Manage high-risk travel and event security programs.Regulatory & External EngagementRepresent the organization with local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, emergency responders, regulators, and industry security groups.Maintain strategic relationships with public and private sector security partners.Support regulatory inspections, audits, and security-related client engagements.Ensure compliance with all country-specific security regulations and obligations.Security Program & Vendor ManagementManage security budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of services.Oversee security service providers, guarding vendors, monitoring centers, and technology partners.Establish performance metrics and service-level agreements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.Ensure adherence to third-party risk management standards.Leadership ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of security professionals and contract security personnel.Provide coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management.Promote diversity, inclusion, accountability, and high-performance culture.Foster collaboration across regional and global security functions.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Admin, Risk Management or related discipline.Master's Degree preferred.Experience10 to 15+ years of progressive security management experience.Significant experience within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector preferred.Demonstrated experience managing complex corporate security programs across multiple locations.Experience in crisis management, investigations, physical security, and vendor management.Experience working with
