Who we are looking forWe are looking for a Depositary Operations Specialist, who will work under supervision of Manager and be engage in various projects, special analysis and initiatives relating to technical aspects of the business. You will act as a process SME and provide technical support to Depositary Supervisor and teams to ensure all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards.Our Depositary team helps ensure that fund assets are protected and that important controls are in place. It's a great opportunity to build expertise in investment funds, financial markets, and the broader banking industry while working in an international environment.Depositary is an EMEA specific regulatory function with Fiduciary duty to the end investor.European investment funds, whether UCITS or AIF, must appoint a Depositary in accordance with the UCITS and AIFM Directives. The Depositary is responsible for the safekeeping of the investment fund’s assets and therefore ensures separation of those assets from the management of the fund. In addition, the depositary is required to perform oversight functions and, in this way, oversees certain activities of the fund manager such as valuation of the fund assets and monitoring of fund cash flows.This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.Why this role is important to usYou will be joining the Investment Services function that allows us to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to each client relationship — for asset managers and asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally. It means our client-facing functions work together to bring the very best solutions and services the firm has to offer — across all of our locations, products, and capabilities.Join us if making your mark on the long-lasting client relationships we build is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forAs a Depositary Operations Specialist, you will:Actively reviews and prepares Depositary tasks (all Clients) relating to safekeeping, cash flow monitoring and oversight activities.Liaise with clients (internal & external) and supporting departments for the purpose of obtaining key inputs to service delivery, resolving errors and discrepancies.Assists Manager in the organization of the Team and in ensuring that departmental procedures and controls are adhered to.Identify issues and problems in service delivery and carry out necessary corrective action. Ensure the issues log is updated and track progress.Take responsibility for analysis and streamlining depositary controls, work with other SMEs to create a unified process flow, standardizing processes and establishing best practiceParticipate as technical SME in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products relating to the ongoing business transformation process.
