PurposeAs a Regulatory Reporting-Officer you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end ownership, oversight, and completion of regulatory reporting processes, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely submission of regulatory returns to global and local regulators.The role requires deep expertise across regulatory reporting, financial reporting, internal control frameworks. The Officer will act as a key stakeholder assisting with requests from regulators, internal senior management, technology and audit, while driving continuous improvement, automation and control enhancement across the regulatory reporting framework.Responsibilities & Tasks IncludeRegulatory Reporting & Framework OwnershipComplete, accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to applicable regulators, including but not limited to FFIEC 031, FFIEC 030, FR Y-9LP, FR 2314, FR 2886b and FR Y-11.Perform reconciliations across products, reports and schedules.Analyze financial data to complete filings, understand fluctuations and uncover potential inaccuracies.Support end-to-end oversight of regulatory reporting processes, including daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions to applicable regulators.Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting frameworks, governance standards, and internal control requirements across all reports.Review, challenge, and approve regulatory submissions prior to filing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.Data Flow, Lineage & ControlsDemonstrate strong understanding of reporting requirements and processes.Assist with data lineage documentation, ensuring transparency from source to submission.Support design, implementation, and monitoring of robust control frameworks, including reconciliations, variance analysis, issue tracking, and remediation.Analysis, Review & Issue ResolutionDrive timely, accurate and complete legal entity reporting, through review or preparation, as required, contributing to other reporting processes and projects as needed. Perform analytical review of regulatory data, identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes of issues.Lead resolution of data quality, control breaks, and reporting issues, including engagement with upstream data providers and business teams.Transformation & Technology EnablementIdentify opportunities to reduce manual processes and strengthen automated processing.Support technology development both through work with technology development teams and through solutions built by regulatory team members with tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, etc.Stakeholder & Regulatory InteractionServe as a point of contact in connection with responding to regulatory queries, examinations, and ad-hoc information requests.Engage proactively with senior stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, IT, Audit, and Business.Support presentation of regulatory reporting status, risks, and remediation plans to management and governance forums.Governance, Documentation & Change ManagementStay updated on regulatory changes and assess impact on existing reporting processes and data architecture.Support implementation of new or revised regulatory requirements, including impact assessment, change delivery, and controls.Ensure procedures, methodologies, and documentation are maintained to a high standard and are audit-ready.Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews.Job RequirementsEducation and ExperienceChartered accountant with 8+ years of experience in Regulatory Reporting, Finance, or Financial Services.Strong hands-on experience with end-to-end regulatory reporting frameworks.Proven experience managing complex data environments, controls, and regulatory interactions.Demonstrated success in regulatory reporting processes or relevant financial reporting responsibilities.Professional CompetenciesStrong analytical mindset with deep control and risk awareness.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with regulators.Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.Proven track record in driving changes, problem solving, and process improvement.High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.Skills / KnowledgeStrong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, forms, and governance frameworks.Experience with FFIEC 031, FR Y-9LP/FR Y-9C, FR 2314, FR 2886b, FR Y-11 and FFIEC 030 is preferred.Experience in Essbase or equivalent general ledger tools.Experience developing and/or deploying tools such as AI, Power BI, etc. in a regulatory reporting function.High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.Experience with regulatory reporting systems (e.g., Axiom, Abacus, or similar platforms).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong working knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.Experience working within global regulatory environments and multi-jurisdiction reporting models.About State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
