Why this role is important to us:The Transfer Agency Department provides Fund Administration service to numerous Fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder servicing functions including Transaction processing, Reporting, AML and Registration and Payments. The department is responsible for Client and investor document management, processing and quality checking of transactions and updating the registers of clients in response to investor instructions. This role is to perform BAU activities in the TA department in order to ensure that not only Client Service Level Agreements are consistently met and/or exceeded but also to ensure that regulatory requirements are effectively met. As a service provider, our Transfer Agency function ensures operational efficiency and seamless experience for our clients across global regions.What you will be responsible for:The Vice President, Transfer Agency, plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the daily operations, strategic direction, and regulatory compliance of the transfer agency department. This individual is responsible for ensuring exceptional client service, driving process improvements, and managing a high-performing team to support mutual fund and investment product shareholdersKey ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and direction for the transfer agency team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.Oversee all transfer agency functions, including transaction processing, shareholder servicing, account maintenance, and recordkeeping.Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SEC regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and other relevant legal standards.Foster a culture of client service excellence by maintaining strong relationships with fund managers, distributors, and institutional clients.Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance shareholder experience.Manage and mentor a team of managers and associates, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.Coordinate with internal departments such as compliance, legal, technology, and finance to support new fund launches and ongoing business initiatives.Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executive leadership on key performance indicators, regulatory updates, and operational issues.Represent the transfer agency in industry forums, regulatory meetings, and client events as required.Operations & Client ServicingOversee day-to-day TA operations including dealing, registration, investor services, settlements, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of investor onboarding, maintenance, and due diligence tasksEnsure accurate and timely processing of investor transactions across global time zonesDrive excellence in client servicing through proactive query resolution and process transparencyCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently metOversee and enhance AML/KYC procedures to meet both internal standards and North American/local regulatory requirements.Ensure proper documentation and classification of investors for FATCA and CRS reporting.Develop, maintain and enhance policies and procedures related to TA compliance for APAC/North America/ EMEA funds and investors.Identify gaps in the process and enhance controls to mitigate risk. Required Qualifications
