Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:Reporting to the CFO for the Health & Wellness platform, this role provides financial leadership for one of Synchrony’s fast-growing sales platforms. This role is responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes for the Health & Wellness platform, including leadership of the Health & Wellness platform’s strategic vision and investment initiatives. It partners with the platform’s senior leadership team in driving profitable growth and achieving strategic objectives. This role is also a key leader on the Health & Wellness CFO’s team, providing key analytics, insights, and process improvement across the platform.Essential Responsibilities:Engage with H&W market teams to understand business and portfolio dynamics and communicate performanceLead financial performance analysis and recommend actions as needed to improve performancePartner with cross functional leadership team to maximize growth potential, optimizing profitability and risk trade-offs within the competitive and economic environmentPartner with platform leadership to develop and execute the business strategyLead the annual Op Plan, Short Range Forecast and Strategic planning process for the platform as well as ongoing forecasting and analysisManage team as well as indirect COE resources to execute forecasting, portfolio support and reporting activitiesUnderstand key contractual terms, ensuring forecasts and plans properly reflect changes and challenge where necessarySupport strategic initiative team to ensure timely implementation and that reporting of cost and benefits is understood by platform leadershipLead periodic NI Review processes with the Health & Wellness Leadership teamProvide quarterly support for external Earnings and reporting processesLead profitability optimization effortsProvide key ad-hoc analysis as neededSupport second and third line reviewsPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a minimum of 7 years of FP&A experience (financial modeling, budget, forecast, data analysis)or in lieu of degree, 10 years of FP&A experience (financial modeling, budget, forecast, data analysis)Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a finance role for a Consumer Finance organizationDesired Characteristics:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, FinanceCredit Card portfolio acquisition and/or investment evaluation experiencesExperience in collaboration on cross-functional teams and leading projects/initiativesExperience leading discussions with Executive Leadership teamExperience in leading a team including direct reportsDemonstrated strength in complex financial modeling and large data setsIn-depth knowledge of Synchrony productsDemonstrated strong leadership skills and proven results at driving change across all levels of the organizationExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated process management skillsPrior experience and responsibility for critical decisionsUse of Oracle / Hyperion Systems and databasesStrong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word & OutlookGrade/Level: 14The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Our Way of Working:We’re proud to offer you flexibility.
