Job Description

Position DescriptionThe role provides management and oversight for all phases of Tesla's charging installation programs, including process development, feasibility diligence, design, construction, and closeout. As the programs continue to expand, this role will develop and refine process and operational tools, schedules, and budgets. The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that quality, budget, and scheduling expectations are achieved and that all relevant external relationships are well managed. The ideal candidate will have relevant program management experience and a track record of building new programs.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the timely roll-out of charging infrastructure projectsInstallation improvement and roll-out of the charging network in the region while managing timeline, quality, and budgetReport status on progress, costs, and performanceUtility service and interconnectionInstallation design and construction drawingsSupport logistics, demand planning, and equipment procurementSupport to actively guide, track, maintain and develop relationships with vendors and construction partners with sharp eye on Tesla's best interestRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related technical areaHolding a certificate of Electrical engineering related is preferredHands on experience in electrical equipment (TR, SWGR, CB, Protection Relay, etc) preferred3~5+ years of relevant infrastructure program/project management experience with a track record for ramping up new programsUnderstanding of the permitting and grid connection process, and experience working with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth path and expedited scheduleWorking knowledge of construction documents, commercial leases, and construction exhibitsUnderstanding of the design process and elements, as well as the underlying electrical calculations regarding power and currents; ability to develop new design approachesAbility to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals; building officials, tenant coordinators, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, Tesla direct vendors, and internal Tesla staffProficiency in both technical and commercial communications; strong ability to simplify and isolate roadblocksAbility to day trips travel intensively (up to 50%), Driving license is requiredBusiness level English

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related technical area (degree in electrical engineering or other related technical area)
  • Holding a certificate of Electrical engineering related is preferred (experience)
  • Hands on experience in electrical equipment (TR, SWGR, CB, Protection Relay, etc) preferred (experience)
  • 3~5+ years of relevant infrastructure program/project management experience with a track record for ramping up new programs (experience, 5 years)
  • Understanding of the permitting and grid connection process, and experience working with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth path and expedited schedule (experience)
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, commercial leases, and construction exhibits (experience)
  • Understanding of the design process and elements, as well as the underlying electrical calculations regarding power and currents; ability to develop new design approaches (experience)
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals; building officials, tenant coordinators, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, Tesla direct vendors, and internal Tesla staff (experience)
  • Proficiency in both technical and commercial communications; strong ability to simplify and isolate roadblocks (experience)
  • Ability to day trips travel intensively (up to 50%), Driving license is required (experience)
  • Business level English (experience)
