Job Description

The Role With rapid business growth in Korea market, Tesla is seeking IT professionals to deeply understand Korea business and leverage IT/AI technologies to support businessexpansion. This will be the first IT Application position in Korea. As a software engineer of IT Sales & Delivery applications, you will be responsible for leading a wide variety of cross-functional programs across customer experience, sales and delivery applications, system integration, server systems, and diagnostics.In this role, you will lead the design and development of some of the most advanced and sophisticated systems in the world, with unparalleled agility. ResponsibilitiesAs business partner to manage IT requirements of Korea.Design Korea IT application road map and new functionalities to support the business growth and provide better customer experience.Work with CN and US IT teams to implement global roll-out to Korea with local gap prioritize.Understand Tesla Korea sales and delivery business and keep good relationship with Korea business team. Manage the implementation as project/program manager.Manage cross-functional software programs from end-to-end.Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery.Manage local vendors and support vendor applications, automate configuration and deployment of services.Work closely with engineering teams to effectively coordinate complex design inter-dependencies.Constantly work to evolve our processes towards increasing precision and dependability, while still maintaining the agility that has gotten Tesla to where we are now. Design and develop enterprise software tools and applications. Conduct system integration testing and support user acceptance testing.Ensure best practices and observability of the Ignition, such as metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.Monitor performance and provide recommendation for improvements, continuous improvement is key.Author technical documentation for workflows/processes/best practices. RequirementsBS in computer science or electrical engineering, MS preferred.8+ years of application development experience with Java, Golang or C#.5+ years' technical program/project management experience managing consumer-facing software programs and/or enterprise applications.Fluency in English and Korea communication (written and verbal).Experience managing end-to-end product deployment — from concept through development and successful launch.Solid product sense with the ability to understand product architecture and as well as drive and criticize design decisions.Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functionally environment.Proficiency in database and middle ware technologies such as MySQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and OpenSearch.Proficiency in micro service architecture.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Enterprise + Jenkins).Understanding and ability to implement observability and Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Splunk).Proactive and effective in responding to system failures and conducting timely troubleshooting.Preferred Qualifications:IT project delivery and operation experience in automotive sales and delivery is a plus.AI project experience is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in computer science or electrical engineering, MS preferred. (experience)
