Job Description
What You’ll DoSpeaker and microphone quality measurement and manufacturing management in Asia.Develop, Manage, Audit, Improve and Correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques and quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification.Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers, Lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.Review 2D, 3D CAD Mechanical Drawings and conduct DFM with suppliers.Execute qualification activities, required for product release PPAP.Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.Collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics.Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes.Guide suppliers in developing exceptionally robust processes and procedures to promote efficient and seamless production of high-quality products.Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction.What You’ll BringA fundamental knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanics, magnetics, and audio experience is a plus.Possess demonstrable leadership abilities; Previous experience managing safety critical parts.Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level.Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques.Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Excellent team building skills in dealing with suppliers, peers, and other functional areas.Experience in Quality Systems and PPAP/APQP processes.Well versed with new product development and customer launch DFMEA & PFMEA and DFM.Ability to learn new skills and processes, in development simulation methods and toolsKnowledge of simulation tools, design tools and methodologies, mechanical systems.Knowledge of manufacturing processes of electronics Top Level Assembly for EV.In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection.Exposure to Design, simulate & qualify product components and assemblies.Review and Analyze product specification and operational limits, relative to the successful validation of product.Fundamental Knowledge of SMT process.Knowledge of Automation in Manufacturing assembly, EOL testing of Electronic Modules.Know-how of PPAP for Automotive Know-how of Product Development Cycle for Automotive Electronic Assemblies.Knowledge of GD & T, Data Management/Change management processes and drawing standards.Knowledge of Plastic, Metal, Part Design, Tooling, and Manufacturing processes.Strong technical writing ability and an ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner.Must be proficient with SPC and data analysis and have experience in using Statistical Software packages like Minitab or JMP, MS office, especially for Excel and PPTBS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial / Material/ Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability.Able to work independently and under high pressure, an average of 50 - 60% travel, possibly on short notice.
