Together, we deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that improve access, affordability, and health outcomes for Canadians.Job SummaryThe Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy, with regional services across the country is transforming the Canadian prescription drug landscape and the way patients make decisions about their medications.Our Pharmacies are seeking Pharmacists that provide meaningful support at the right time to our members for better health and peace of mind.We are actively looking for a Pharmacist who is:Available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pmAvailable to start ASAPPassionate about health careThe candidate will be required to vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. In general, these include providing oversight and quality assurance of pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to patients, communicating with prescribers regarding drug therapy, verify prescription dispensing at various workflow steps within the Kroll Pharmacy software system and participating in training and mentoring of staff and students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Verify prescription orders are dispensed accurately and according to corporate and regulatory standards.Provide oversight and quality assurance of pharmacy services.Provide patient counseling on prescriptions and handle patient clinical queries.Communicate with prescribers to modify and manage drug therapy for desired outcomes.Train and mentor staff and students.Additional duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Science-Pharmacy or PharmDExperience in retail pharmacy and specialty medications is preferredKnowledge of pharmacy laws and regulationsStrong focus on customer service, quality and accuracyAbility to read and interpret prescriptionsAbility to evaluate current state and analyze possible solutions in business workflowAbility to train and coach less-experienced staff to desired team resultsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to adapt in a dynamic work environmentAbility to learn quickly, solve problems and make decisionsAble to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Experience with Kroll Pharmacy software system is an assetKnowledge of Pharmacy Benefits Management Industry/Managed care industry is an assetValid Manitoba pharmacist license requiredWhy Join UsCompetitive compensation, benefits and pension planCareer development and advancement opportunitiesA culture that celebrates innovation and collaborationFlexible work options and wellness programsPre-Employment RequirementsAll offers of employment are conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks and background verification in accordance with company policy.
