Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.How will you make an impact?You will be part of the fast-paced and multi-disciplinary Microarray Research Services Laboratory (MRSL) group. We process many customer samples primarily using genotyping technology and are committed to providing the highest data quality and the best customer experience. By bringing your organizational, analytical and communication skills, you will help drive important research with real-world impact. You will be responsible for project management, data analysis, documentation, and deliverable preparation for the scientific services team’s customers for applications such as whole genome and/or targeting genotyping.A Day in the LifeCollaborate with internal teams to coordinate smooth project progression and meet data delivery deadlinesRespond to customer inquiries and proactively communicate project status to customers and sales teamLearn and adapt to new tools and platforms and help troubleshoot issues on these systemsTroubleshoot data quality concerns quickly and effectively to minimize impact on delivery timelines and costsCommunicate effectively with all stakeholdersKeys to SuccessEducationB.S. in Computer Science or Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years of experienceExperienceProficiency with Linux/Unix environment including shell scriptingKnowledge of genomics technology is a plus, especially microarrayExperience with R is a plusExperience with databases (especially PostgreSQL)- writing & optimizing queries, functions, views, triggers is a plusKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent cross-discipline communication and writing skillsProject management skills strongly preferredStrong organizational skillsData Visualization, interpretation of resultsKnowledge of genomics technology is a plus, especially microarrayFamiliarity with GIT and code usage best practices preferredBehavioral CompetenciesIdentify gaps and help develop plans to mitigate themA strongly pro-active, helpful, ‘can-do’ attitudeTakes initiative and takes ownership of assigned tasksHigh accountability: proven track record of following through on commitmentsSelf-managing and self-motivating, able to prioritize tasks and meet timelines and expectationsOtherMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $82,800.00–$95,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
