You will manage end-to-end product lifecycle management, from strategy development through commercialization and optimization. Working in a collaborative, global matrix organization, you'll partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges. You'll conduct voice-of-customer research, define product requirements, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers meaningful impact and visibility, with opportunities to shape product direction through data-driven insights and strategic thinking.Key Responsibilities:Category strategy and planningDevelop and implement category plans aligned with regional and global prioritiesSupport portfolio growth, margin improvement, and supplier funding initiativesCollaborate with internal teams to deliver marketing campaigns and product launchesContribute to the ongoing development of Fisherbrand and private-label strategiesSupplier managementManage key supplier relationships through Thermo Fisher's Supplier Tiering ProgramLead business reviews, track performance, and encourage continuous improvementStrengthen collaboration with supplier leadership to align on goals and drive engagementCommercial performance and analysisReview category performance against targets and identify improvement opportunitiesUse data to understand market trends and support business decisionsCoordinate annual price roll activities and related supplier communicationCollaboration and improvementPartner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to execute strategiesContribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfactionParticipate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) activities to enhance team performanceREQUIREMENTSAdvanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in product management, marketing, or related commercial experiencePreferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Marketing or related fieldProven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercializationStrong business acumen and ability to develop compelling business cases and financial modelsExcellence in gathering and synthesizing Voice of Customer insightsEffective cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills in matrix environmentStrong communication and presentation abilities across all organizational levelsExperience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plansStrong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilitiesAbility to balance strategic thinking with tactical executionProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPointProject management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiativesCustomer-centric mindset with deep understanding of market dynamicsUp to 30% travel required, including internationalKnowledge of relevant scientific/technical domain preferred for specific product linesUnderstanding of quality and regulatory requirements for applicable markets

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in product management, marketing, or related commercial experience (experience, 6 years)
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field (experience)
  • Proven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization (experience)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop compelling business cases and financial models (experience)
  • Excellence in gathering and synthesizing Voice of Customer insights (experience)
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills in matrix environment (experience)
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities across all organizational levels (experience)
  • Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans (experience)
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities (experience)
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution (experience)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint (experience)
  • Project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives (experience)

  • Up to 30% travel required, including international (experience)
