This role is part of a global team that supports the overall growth of our Global Services and Support organization by delivering scalable, reliable data integrations and analytics solutions.This role plays a strategic part in building and expanding foundational capabilities across Customer Support, Service Delivery functions and AI initiatives. You will design, build, and support API-driven data ingestion and data delivery pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses across both on-prem and cloud environments, enabling actionable business intelligence through GenAI and operational reporting.You’re good at:Building and supporting end-to-end data ingestion and transformation pipelines across on-prem and cloud environmentsCollaborating with infrastructure, IT, and business teams to support enterprise data platform solutionsBuilding and maintaining API-driven integrations using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and REST/SOAP protocolsWriting to and updating Salesforce standard and custom objects via Salesforce APIs, including creating and optimizing SOQL queriesIntegrating with Oracle systems, including reading from and writing to Oracle tables through APIs or service interfacesAssembling and consolidating datasets from systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, E1, Genesys, and Service CloudDeveloping and optimizing SQL queries for analytics and ad hoc reporting needsSupporting data quality, integrity, and consistency across platformsTroubleshooting and resolving issues in both data pipelines and API workflowsYou have:A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)6+ years of experience in data engineering and REST API developmentMust have experience with Databricks or Spark-based platformsExperience with Python, including hands on knowledge of PySparkExperience with data pipelines, delta lakes, and data warehousesExperience in developing RESTful APIs using microservices architectureUnderstanding of API security, authentication, and authorization including OAuth2Strong experience with SQL, including complex joins and performance tuningExperience with data pipelines, delta lakes, and data warehousesExperience with AWS services like S3, Athena, Redshift, API Gateway, Lambda, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, and ECS/EKSStrong knowledge of Git based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines and tools such as TerraformExperience with Docker and Kubernetes based deploymentsFamiliarity with Node.js or similar backend technologiesExperience integrating with Oracle databases or other enterprise systems via APIsAbility to analyze and troubleshoot large, complex datasets and integration issuesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to embrace Thermo Fisher Scientific values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and InvolvementYou may also have:Experience in Life Science or Service organizationExposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, webhooks)Experience working with visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI5 reasons you’ll want to work at Thermo Fisher Scientific:What you do every day will be meaningful You’ll have the opportunity to define your path You’ll work with purpose You can share our passion for doing things the right way You’ll be able to realize your bestAs the world leader in serving science, we empower our people to advance innovative technologies, develop meaningful solutions, and build rewarding careers. Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) (experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering and REST API development (experience, 6 years)
  • Must have experience with Databricks or Spark-based platforms (experience)
  • Experience with Python, including hands on knowledge of PySpark (experience)
  • Experience with data pipelines, delta lakes, and data warehouses (experience)
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs using microservices architecture (experience)
  • Understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization including OAuth2 (experience)
  • Strong experience with SQL, including complex joins and performance tuning (experience)
  • Experience with data pipelines, delta lakes, and data warehouses (experience)
  • Experience with AWS services like S3, Athena, Redshift, API Gateway, Lambda, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, and ECS/EKS (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Git based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Terraform (experience)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes based deployments (experience)
  • Familiarity with Node.js or similar backend technologies (experience)
  • Experience integrating with Oracle databases or other enterprise systems via APIs (experience)
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot large, complex datasets and integration issues (experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (experience)
