We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.DESCRIPTION:We are seeking an Engineer II - Documentation Specialist to support document lifecycle management, engineering standards control, version management, and governance processes for the Global CM Documentation & Industrialization Hub.This role will help ensure that manufacturing documentation, supplier records, engineering templates, best practices, and technology transfer materials are controlled, organized, accessible, and maintained in accordance with defined governance and quality expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage document lifecycle processes including creation, review, approval, release, revision, archival, and retirement of controlled documentationMaintain version control, naming conventions, metadata standards, taxonomy, and repository structure for CM documentation librariesSupport governance of engineering templates, manufacturing standards, work instructions, playbooks, and best-practice documentsCoordinate document reviews and approvals with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Procurement, and external manufacturing stakeholdersEnsure documentation completeness, accuracy, traceability, and compliance with applicable internal procedures and quality expectationsSupport audit readiness by maintaining organized document records, revision history, approval evidence, and retrieval processesIdentify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate content, and obsolete records, and drive corrective cleanup actionsSupport CM Portal and documentation library administration from a content governance and document control perspectiveDevelop user guidance, training materials, and standard operating practices for documentation submission, retrieval, and change managementTrack documentation KPIs including document aging, approval cycle time, compliance gaps, and repository healthPartner with analytics and knowledge management colleagues to improve content searchability, usability, and adoptionMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Systems, Information Management, Operations, or a related disciplineExperience in document control, technical documentation, engineering documentation, quality systems, or records managementPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, supplier management, or regulated documentation environmentsWorking knowledge of document lifecycle management, change control, metadata, taxonomy, version control, and records governanceExperience with PLM, SharePoint, document management systems, eQMS, ERP, or controlled repository platformsAbility to structure complex technical content into clear templates, libraries, and governance processesFamiliarity with audit readiness, quality systems, compliance documentation, and controlled document practicesStrong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and information organization skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows concurrentlyEffective communication and stakeholder coordination skills in a global environmentKey CompetenciesDocumentation governance discipline and attention to detailStrong ownership of data integrity, version control, and complianceCustomer-focused content organization and usability mindsetStructured execution and follow-throughCross-functional coordination and stakeholder supportContinuous improvement mindset for document processesAccountability for accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Systems, Information Management, Operations, or a related discipline (experience, 5 years)
  • Experience in document control, technical documentation, engineering documentation, quality systems, or records management (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, supplier management, or regulated documentation environments (experience)
  • Working knowledge of document lifecycle management, change control, metadata, taxonomy, version control, and records governance (experience)
  • Experience with PLM, SharePoint, document management systems, eQMS, ERP, or controlled repository platforms (experience)
  • Ability to structure complex technical content into clear templates, libraries, and governance processes (experience)
  • Familiarity with audit readiness, quality systems, compliance documentation, and controlled document practices (experience)
  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and information organization skills (experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows concurrently (experience)
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills in a global environment (experience)

Responsibilities
