Work ScheduleSecond Shift (Afternoons)Environmental ConditionsAdherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, OfficeJob DescriptionThe Facilities Supervisor is responsible for leading shift-based execution of maintenance and facilities operations within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable operation of site utilities, equipment, and infrastructure through effective supervision of personnel, prioritization of work, and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.The Supervisor drives execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, supports inspection readiness, and ensures timely completion of work in alignment with production demands and site priorities.Key Responsibilities:Operations & Maintenance ExecutionLead daily maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency workPrioritize and dispatch work to ensure minimal impact to production and critical utilitiesEnsure timely completion of work orders and PMs in the CMMS (SAP) with high data integrityMonitor and drive key performance indicators:PM compliance (% on-time completion)Work order closure ratesMaintenance backlog (weeks of work)Equipment downtime / reliability impactsPerform routine field presence (“floor leadership”) to ensure work quality, safety, and adherence to proceduresGMP Compliance & Inspection ReadinessEnsure all work is executed in compliance with GMP, OSHA safety procedures, and environmental standardsOwn quality documentation execution at the shift level, including:DeviationsChange controls (as applicable)Maintenance documentation and logbooksMaintain facilities in an “inspection-ready” state at all timesSupport internal and external regulatory inspections by providing documentation and technical supportTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise and coordinate activities of facilities technicians (approx. 10–15 direct reports)Set daily priorities, manage shift execution, and ensure effective workload distributionConduct performance management, coaching, and development planningEnsure team training compliance and technical competency progressionReinforce a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementPlanning & CoordinationCoordinate maintenance activities with production and cross-functional teamsAdjust schedules dynamically based on operational priorities and emergent issuesIdentify and escalate resource constraints, risks, and operational gapsSupport planning efforts by providing feedback on job plans, PM effectiveness, and labor utilizationContractor & Vendor OversightCoordinate and supervise contractors performing maintenance or project workEnsure contractor compliance with site safety, GMP, and permit requirementsSupport procurement of spare parts and services to maintain operational continuityFacilities Systems OversightSupport reliable operation of critical utilities systems, including but not limited to:HVAC systemsClean utilities (WFI, clean steam, compressed gases)Electrical distributionBuilding management systems (BMS)Ensure rapid response and escalation for system failures or abnormal conditionsContinuous ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements to maintenance processes, PM programs, and workflow efficiencyParticipate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activitiesDrive reduction in reactive maintenance and improvement in asset reliabilityMinimum Requirements/Qualifications: 5–10 years of facilities/maintenance experience in an industrial or GMP-regulated environmentPrior supervisory or team leadership experience in a multi-shift operationStrong working knowledge of:Mechanical and electrical systemsIndustrial utilitiesCMMS systems (SAP preferred)Experience with GMP documentation and regulatory expectationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturingFamiliarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or predictive maintenance technologiesExperience supporting audits and regulatory inspectionsLeadership & Behavioral ExpectationsStrong decision-making capability under time-sensitive conditionsAbility to prioritize competing demands in a 24/7 operational environmentEffective communication across all organizational levelsHigh level of accountability for team performance and compliance outcomesWorking ConditionsShift-based role 2nd shift is from 2pm-10:30pmCombination of office and field-based work in industrial and GMP environmentsBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits. Required Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing (experience)
  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or predictive maintenance technologies (experience)
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections (experience)
