As a Field Service Engineer III, you'll provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for sophisticated laboratory automation equipment (Robotic movers and Microplate handling) and dynamic scheduler software. Working with advanced technology, you'll deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, universities, and industrial facilities. You'll resolve complex issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure optimal system performance. LocationThis is a remote role based in Maryland region and will require up to 75% travel within the designated territory including VA, NJ, and PA. Relocation assistance is not provided. Keys to SuccessEducationAssociate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline, with an appropriate combination of education and relevant technical experience (7+ years with an Associate’s, 5+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 3+ years with an advanced degree)Complete and maintain all company-required technical training and certifications requiredExperienceExperience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated mechanicsDemonstrated expertise to independently troubleshoot low-voltage electronics and complex electro-mechanical systemsStrong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities across hardware, software, and networking issuesProficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawingsPrevious experience training or mentoring others preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to build positive customer relationshipsAbility to work independently while maintaining strong team collaborationAvailability to respond to urgent customer needsAbility to follow all safety protocols and be able to work in cleanroom environments when requiredProficient with Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business softwareProfessional working proficiency in English; additional languages beneficialPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in laboratory environments OtherMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screenValid driver's license and ability to travel 75%Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $40.06–$48.07.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
