This is an onsite position located in Wilmington, DEA Day in the life:Perform or aid in purification process development, optimization, and scale-up manufacturingConduct protein purification to support formulation team’s material needs and cell culture developmentPerform routine analyses of in-process samples using relevant product purity and process impurity analytical toolsPrepare buffers and solutions needed for laboratory workPresent work summary in a weekly group meetingWrite routine electronic laboratory notebook entriesOther responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBasic knowledge in protein chemistry and bioprocessingBasic knowledge and preferably hands-on experiences in various types of column/membrane chromatography (affinity, size exclusion, ion exchanges, multi-mode) and filtration technologyExperience in protein analysis such as HPLC, ELISA, pH/Conductivity/A280 Concentration testing, etc. is preferredHands-on experience or basic knowledge of Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration experimentation and TFF systems is preferredInventory management skills preferredGood verbal and written communication skillsOrganized, collaborative, independent, meticulousEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Biological Sciences, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience0-2 years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)Ability to work weekends and overnight hours as neededIn some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
