You will play a critical role in enabling researchers and scientists to focus on their core work by managing essential lab support functions including inventory control, materials management, equipment coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards.You will act as a trusted interface between Thermo Fisher Scientific and our customers, ensuring high-quality service, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across laboratory support activities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain laboratory inventory systems and stock control processesCoordinate daily laboratory support operations on customer sitesEnsure accurate tracking of materials, chemicals, and consumablesSupport equipment handling, maintenance coordination, and lab readinessEnsure full compliance with GMP/GLP standards and safety regulationsMaintain accurate documentation and operational recordsCollaborate closely with scientists, researchers, and internal teamsDeliver high-quality customer service and on-site operational supportIdentify and support continuous improvement opportunities within lab operationsRequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory, scientific, logistics, or customer service environmentDegree or background in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience with inventory management systems and handheld scanning devicesKnowledge of GMP/GLP environments and laboratory safety protocols preferredStrong communication skills with ability to interact professionally at all levelsExcellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracyPhysically able to lift/push/pull 30–40 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally)Able to stand and walk for extended periods and work in varied environmentsWillingness to wear required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, steel-toe footwear)Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules when requiredExperience with chemical handling and waste management is an advantageAbility to operate material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jacks, pushcarts)IATA/DOT certification is a plusBilingual skills are a plusValid driver’s license may be required for some positionsStrong customer service mindset and professional attitude

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory, scientific, logistics, or customer service environment (experience, 2 years)
  • Degree or background in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field preferred (degree in background in biology)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience)
  • Experience with inventory management systems and handheld scanning devices (experience)
  • Knowledge of GMP/GLP environments and laboratory safety protocols preferred (experience)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact professionally at all levels (experience)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills (experience)
