Specific activities relative to the job function include customer service, vendor escorting, managing equipment maintenance records, and routine lab walkthroughs.A Day in the Life:Operate within Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to provide updates to equipment work order recordsCoordinate scheduling of equipment with internal customer and external vendors as applicable including generating and tracking of monthly PMs due listsMaintain CMMS records for incoming equipment including vendor service records, equipment trackers, and equipment pick up recordsPerform vendor escorting for work site activitiesHandle equipment inventory and disposition within lab space through end of lifecycleGenerate client requested reports as requested, including open work orders, work order status, and pending service requestsExtensive Customer Service including timely response to all service status requestsFollows well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & work instructionsTake direction and communicates openly with Leadership regarding daily duties. Demonstrate expertise in the ability to identify inefficiencies in any process and make recommendations for improvementDetail-oriented, safety-conscious, technically proficient, organized, problem solver, promotes team environmentPhysical Requirements / Work Environment The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline. Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required. The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs. Standing, walking, and manual material handling of chemical containers are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments. Overtime work or schedule changes may also be necessary.
