The ideal candidate will have Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic assembly experience, excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.The successful applicant will be responsible for the manufacturing, preparation, testing, and quality of mechanical and electrical products sold by Thermo Fisher Scientific EFA Fremont, CA Division.Shift: Mon - Fri 6 am - 2:30 pm Pay: $36 - $38 Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for set-up, testing, and packing of final product.Responsible for testing final products for functionality or quality.Identify and tackle problems with equipment, devices or products.Plans and lays out work to meet production and schedule requirements.Demonstrate understanding of function and application of product.Help guide and train other manufacturing techniciansSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.Ensure that quality standards are met.Job Requirements:HS Diploma or Equivalent Education, AS Degree in Electronics or Technology preferredMinimum 4+ Years Experience in cGMP EnvironmentPreferred Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringDesired Skills:Have appropriate visual acuity and hand/eye coordination to assemble, manipulate, and test small, precision electronic units and mechanical assemblies.Proficient with standard electronic assembly and testing equipment including, but not limited to soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, torque tools, etc.Expertise using complex wiring schematics and assembly diagrams to diagnose and resolve functionality or performance issues with final product.Proven experience assembling, testing, and resolving problems in sophisticated electrical and mechanical components and systems.Familiar with quality management systems and safety programs.Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills.Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience in a regulated production environment; specifically following standard operating procedures and manufacturing schedules.Strong work ethic and interpersonal skillsGreat teammate, able to work effectively with others,Fluently speak, read, and write EnglishCapable of lifting 35 pounds unassistedCapable of performing tasks while sitting, standing, or kneeling for periods of timeCompensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $36.00–$39.77.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
