In this key role, you'll ensure optimal equipment performance and maintenance while supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing facilities. You'll resolve complex technical issues, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams. Your expertise will directly impact the production of essential scientific and medical products used by researchers and healthcare professionals.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and execute instrumentation and calibration activities, ensuring tasks are properly allocated and completed as per the respective task lists and schedules.Manage breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and automation systems, ensuring timely restoration and minimizing equipment downtime.Identify recurring equipment/instrument failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and minimize breakdowns.Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for external calibration, maintenance, and technical support activities in compliance with site safety requirements and procedures.Initiate and follow up on Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for calibration, maintenance, spare parts, and external service requirements.Review and verify vendor service reports and calibration reports/certificates for completeness, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable requirements.Prepare, review, and update Work Instructions (WIs), maintenance procedures, and calibration-related documentation.Ensure instrumentation and calibration activities are performed in accordance with site safety norms, quality requirements, and established procedures.Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.Maintain effective coordination with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, operations, and external service providers to ensure timely completion of instrumentation and automation activities.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related engineering discipline.4-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or similar technical role.Professional certifications in relevant technical areas preferredStrong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and equipment maintenanceProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentationExperience with calibration, preventive maintenance, and GMP/GEP complianceDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systemsKnowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP)Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and mentoring techniciansProficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with PLCs, control systems, and automated equipment preferredAbility to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency calls when neededPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in manufacturing environmentDemonstrated commitment to safety protocols and proceduresStrong organizational and time management skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related engineering discipline. (degree in diploma in electrical)
  • 4-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or similar technical role. (experience, 7 years)
  • Professional certifications in relevant technical areas preferred (certification)
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance (experience)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation (experience)
  • Experience with calibration, preventive maintenance, and GMP/GEP compliance (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems (experience)
