Discover Impactful Work:The Manufacturing Planning Manager leads a high-performing team responsible for production planning and order execution across a ~$100M+ consumables portfolio within a growing chemistry manufacturing site. This role oversees order management and material handling operations, ensuring seamless execution from planning through fulfillment. We’re seeking an analytical, forward-thinking leader who leverages systems, advanced Excel, and data visualization to improve supply-demand visibility, protect revenue, and enable growth. They thrive in fast-paced settings, create structure from ambiguity, and champion continuous improvement.A Day in the Life:You will own Master Production Scheduling (MPS), capacity planning, backlog management, and global fulfillment coordination across a complex, high-mix SKU portfolio. The environment includes regulated chemical compounds, Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements, and a dynamic multi-line production schedule.Planning & ExecutionDevelop and manage the Master Production Schedule aligned to demand forecasts and capacity constraintsLead daily and weekly planning activities across multiple production linesDrive backlog management, order execution, and escalations to protect service levels and revenue timingPartner cross-functionally to optimize production processes, mitigate disruptions, and execute recovery plansEvaluate capacity requirements and adjust supply plans to support business growthOptimize inventory to balance customer service performance and working capital targetsParticipate in SIOP/S&OP processes to align demand, supply, and financial objectivesCommunicate production schedules, supply risks, and performance metrics to stakeholdersDigital & Analytical LeadershipAnalyze ERP and production data to identify trends, constraints, and improvement opportunitiesLead master data governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and complianceBuild advanced data models to support scenario planning and risk mitigationDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to provide actionable insights to diverse audiencesIdentify automation and digitization opportunities to enhance planning accuracy and efficiencyApply lean principles to reduce waste and improve operational performanceLead, coach, and develop a team in a high-growth environmentDrive accountability, engagement, and strong performance managementKeys to Success:EducationBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related fieldExperience5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning or supply chain operations2+ years of people leadership experienceExperience participating in SIOP/S&OP processesKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAdvanced Excel skills and strong ERP proficiencyStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilitiesExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to manage complexity in high-mix production environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience in chemical or consumables manufacturingExperience with Power BI or similar data visualization toolsExperience with Python and/or SQL for data automation and analysisExperience managing high SKU complexity and dynamic production schedulesExperience with Lean or PPI methodologiesOtherMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen. Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $112,500.00–$150,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
