They are responsible for pre-weighing of raw materials in support of manufacturing. The Support Technician performs daily housekeeping and monthly safety inspections.Essential Functions: Cleans portable equipment in the Small Parts Cleaning Facility by setting-up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; following procedures and documenting actions. Performs pre-weigh of raw materials to support manufacturing. Performs monthly safety inspections of the manufacturing building. To include operating safety showers and eyewash stations. Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment. Responsible for general maintenance that includes area cleaning, painting and moving materials as needed Ensures equipment remains in operating condition by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure appropriate housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Coordinate the receipt, safe storage, transfer and off-site disposal of recycled material, trash and hazardous waste. Perform other duties as required.Required Education:High school diploma or GED required.Required Experience:No experience is requiredPreferred Experience:1 year of work experience preferred in manufacturing support operations, preferably in a GMP environment.Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; sit and to talk, hear or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, or kneel, crouch. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
