With revenues of $40 billion and the largest investment in R&D in the industry, we give our people the resources and opportunities to make significant contributions to the world.The Senior Financial Analyst will have direct responsibility for supporting the FP&A efforts of the Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG). You will report to the Senior Manager of Division FP&A and will be actively involved in forecasting, reporting, and consolidation processes, with high visibility to the Division and Finance Leadership teams. You will also be responsible for developing strong cross-functional business partnerships, supporting special projects, improving processes, and implementing business intelligence tools.Key Responsibilities:Support timely and accurate CMD divisional consolidations for MBR/QBR, forecasts, target validations, and AOP deliverables, including monthly PLN system loads.Own monthly financial-system reconciliations, tie-outs, and other dashboard coordination as required.Own the ongoing maintenance of the CMD Revenue Commitment Dashboard, including revenue targets, latest outlook, and monitoring other key performance indicators used for quarterly revenue attainment.Building and validating complex financial models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing including FX models for divisional FP&A.Prepare timely management reporting for CMD leadership, including executive reports, operating-expense summaries, quarterly flash reporting, MBR and QBR materials, and required analytical supportMentor FLDP participants and interns, as required, and ensure their time with the team is effectively managed and provides us with a future talent pool opportunity.Partner with CMD Business Units and functional teams on Forecast reporting requirements, including operating-expense and forecast bridges.Support the QBR activities like deck preparation for the Company Leadership Team (CLT), including month-end executive reports and quarterly revenue flashes.Identify, develop, and implement enhancements to existing reporting and forecasting processes, keeping pace with changes in the business and leadership needs.Complete ad hoc requests as needed.Actively promote AI adoption in division-level projects supporting Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, or successful completion of Thermo Fisher’s Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP).Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), including upload templates, consolidations, and financial close procedures.Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities, including proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, INDEX/MATCH, conditional statements, etc.).Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain information accuracy and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transfer and share knowledge with other members of the team and Division.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a dynamic work calendar, which may include a heavier workload during critical periods.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 120,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. (degree in accounting or finance)
