In this role, you will drive growth across France and Belgium for our Bioprocess Downstream workflow product and service portfolio.DESCRIPTION:Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Product Specialist - Downstream, where you'll support revenue growth and customer success across our innovative bioprocess chromatography resin portfolio, buffer outsourcing and chemical supply services. In this role, you'll apply your technical expertise in downstream processes and consultative sales approach to identify opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and deliver solutions that enable groundbreaking advances in biopharmaceutical production for monoclonal antibodies, proteins, vaccines and cell & gene therapy.Working with cross-functional teams, you'll provide technical leadership in customer engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to help customers optimize their purification workflows. Your contributions will directly support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.Key Responsibilities:Drive growth across the combined downstream workflow portfolio focusing on bioprocess chromatography, buffer outsourcing and production chemical supply and servicesDevelop and achieve business objectives to strengthen Thermo Fisher's presence across biotech and biopharma downstream development and manufacturing accounts.Influence the use and evaluation of our bioprocess chromatography resins and purification platforms within pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.Engage deeply with downstream process development, MSAT, and manufacturing teams to support optimization of purification workflows and related consumables.Collaborate closely with Bioproduction Account Managers (BAMs) to position solutions effectively toward commercial stakeholders, including procurement and supply chain.Identify customer requirements and position appropriate purification products, buffer supply solutions, and supporting services.Support customer evaluations through technical input, sample coordination, presentations, and workflow optimization discussions (including process walks)Develop and implement strategic account and territory plans with purification-led positioning and workflow expansion.Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, lost order reporting, and competitive intelligence using CRM tools (Salesforce).REQUIREMENTS:Master's Degree plus 5 years of technical sales experience in bioproduction, bioprocess chromatography, or related fieldPreferred Fields of Study: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related scientific disciplineStrong technical understanding of biopharmaceutical workflows, with focus on downstream processing of relevant biopharma modalitiesDeep knowledge of chromatography principles, bioprocess resins, buffers, and quality requirementsDemonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in bioproduction technical salesExpert presentation and communication skills with ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholdersExperience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applicationsSuccess in consultative, value-based selling of long-term solutionsStrong project management and organizational abilitiesProven relationship building and networking capabilitiesAbility to work effectively in a matrix organizationAbility to travel significantly within the regionBusiness-fluent English required; French is a strong plusExperience presenting at scientific conferences and trade showsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to collaborate across functions

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree plus 5 years of technical sales experience in bioproduction, bioprocess chromatography, or related field (experience, 5 years)
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline (experience)
  • Strong technical understanding of biopharmaceutical workflows, with focus on downstream processing of relevant biopharma modalities (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of chromatography principles, bioprocess resins, buffers, and quality requirements (experience)
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in bioproduction technical sales (experience)
