As a program manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that directly impact scientific advancement, customer success, and business performance.You will lead strategic new product development programs from concept through successful delivery, establishing clear objectives, governance, milestones, and accountability across multidisciplinary teams. Working across functions and organizational levels, you will align stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and drive timely decision-making.Your ability to combine disciplined execution with strategic thinking and effective influence will be critical to delivering programs on time, within budget, and to defined quality and business objectives.Requirements:Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience, in program/project management leading complex technical initiativesDegree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferredDemonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs with significant business impactExperience leading new product development programs from concept through commercialization, including requirements definition, design controls, verification and validation, design transfer, and launch within ISO 9001/13485 quality systems and stage-gate governanceStrong program planning, governance, financial management, and risk management capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, establish accountability, build consensus, and resolve conflict effectively in matrix organizationsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across organizational levels, including senior leadershipAbility to translate business objectives into executable program strategies, priorities, and plansStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilitiesExperience applying project and program management methodologies, tools, and best practicesExperience managing external partners, vendors, and cross-organizational dependenciesProficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applicationsPMP certification preferred; SAFe or Agile certification is an advantageSelf-directed, collaborative, and comfortable operating in complex and evolving environmentsFluency in both German and English is requiredBased at our site in Vienna, you’ll join a collaborative, science-driven organization where program leadership directly accelerates innovation. The annual base gross salary for this position is at least €44,047.78 and will be overpaid according to qualifications and professional experience.
