The impact you will have could be anything from delivering products that help a scientist discover a cure for cancer to helping a nurse care for a patient effectively because they have the right equipment.A Day in the Life:Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.Preparing and filing routine documentation.Maintaining quality metrics.Operating material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, Forklift etc).Working in and out of a +4c walk-in Cold Room and -20c walk-in Freezer.Experience:No previous work experience requiredPreferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related fieldPreferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively.Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds.Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentAbility to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift weight of 45 pounds or more, with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion.Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $12.56–$18.84.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
