The MSD EM business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflow solutions that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.As Supervisor Field Service your key responsibilities are: Line management of an assigned team of highly skilled and specialized Field Service Engineers (FSE)Performance management and development of the assigned FSE teamInternal team communicationLeading and facilitating regular team meetingsRegular coordination with the sales and service teamEfficient staff schedulingReview FSE support requests together with the 2nd line supportEscalation managementParticipation in customer meetingsHandle customer critical communication together with service managerEnsure health and safety protocols are followedCoordination of technical and non-technical trainingSupport of the regional service managerinstallation planning and preparation, working with Regional Installation Project Manager (RIPM) and regional expertstake on field service activities typically 50% of normal working hours depending on the team sizeEducationBachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, electronics/engineering, or equivalent.ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field.Experience with TEM and/or SEM/SDB and/or XPS products is a plusExperience with managing a team of Field Service Engineers is a plus Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong leadership and mentoring skills.Experience in troubleshooting and repairing high-tech systems.Technical competence corresponding to an engineer II level or higher, Electron Microscopy preferredExcellent communication skills in English, German or French on B2 level or above are preferredHighly organized and in control of administrative tasksExcellent planning and organizational skillsNegotiation skills and commercial mindsetchallenges the status quo, seeks opportunities to improveValid driving license (B)BenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
