What's in it for you: The CAMS Designer 1 is an entry-level design role responsible for creating 2D and 3D designs used in manufacturing customer-specific units. This position uses Creo Parametric and proprietary Trane Technologies software that applies Boolean logic to drive parametric CAD models. The role also includes reviewing work for accuracy, following drafting standards, supporting portions of larger projects, and collaborating with a technical team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused designs. What you will do:Use Creo Parametric and proprietary Trane Technologies software to support rules-based, parametric CAD modelingApply Boolean logic and established design rules to configure product designs accuratelyInterpret engineering instructions, drawings, schematics, and related documentationProduce design documentation using CAD and product lifecycle management systemsReview designs and orders for accuracy before release to manufacturingFollow established drafting standards, design practices, and company proceduresSupport portions of larger design projects and complete assigned tasks on timeCollaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to deliver quality solutionsContinue building technical knowledge through training and development opportunitiesTravel occasionally, as needed, to support products or training What you will bring:Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or a related fieldBasic knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting principlesBasic knowledge of 3D CAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Solid Edge, Creo ParametricAbility to read and interpret technical instructions, drawings, and schematicsStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnExposure to Boolean logic, rules-based modeling, or programming conceptsComputer science coursework or programming experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel formulasAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$38,600.00 - $70,770.00Compensation Type:Exception HourlyIncentive Eligible:NoSales Commission Eligible:NoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
