Role PurposeThe Sales Manager – South India will be responsible for developing and growing Trane’s rental cooling & power business across the South India region. The role will focus on identifying new rental opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, generating sales pipeline, converting opportunities into profitable rental contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful mobilization and execution of rental projects.The candidate will play a key role in establishing Trane Rentals as a preferred temporary and emergency cooling solutions provider across industries including data centres, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, commercial buildings, infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality and other industrial applications.Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute the rental sales strategy for South India.Identify new customers, applications, industries and market opportunities for temporary cooling solutions.Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin targets.Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity qualification through proposal, negotiation and order closure.2. Market DevelopmentBuild Trane Rentals’ presence across key South Indian markets including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.Develop relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, facility management companies, MEP contractors and system integrators.3. Key Account ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with strategic customers and national accounts.Identify opportunities to expand rental business within existing Trane customers.4. Technical Solution SellingUnderstand customer cooling requirements and recommend appropriate rental solutions.Work with Trane engineering and operations teams to develop technically and commercially viable solutions.Understand chiller capacity, temperature requirements, flow requirements, temporary piping, pumps, electrical requirements and site installation requirements.We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
