We boldly go.Where is the work:On-Site (5 days) What's in it for you:As a Product Lifecycle (Mechanical) Engineer at Trane, you will be working closely with other Engineering teams, such as Test Labs, Factory Manufacturing, and Product Management to create competitive designs for Trane Commercial HVAC equipment. The selected individual must have technical expertise to support and lead product design projects, product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality & reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate PDP practices. What you will do:Develop product designs to meet performance, regulatory, quality and cost requirements.Review and understand the technical feasibility of product and internal requirements.Lead VAVE activities to evaluate process improvements and cost reductions. Implement subsequent product design changes.Design and select robust and cost-effective components and develop engineering specifications.Complete system integration tasks including engineering design, engineering specifications, support creation of layouts and design reviews.Support engineering teams including engineers, designers, lab techniciansDevelop laboratory test plans and analyze test data to ensure product performance and quality.Create and manage BOM structures in a PLM system What you will bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in an Engineering discipline.5+ years experience leading technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, implementation, and root cause analysis.Deliver technical designs and lead design reviews to meet project and product requirements.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$75,700.00 - $107,660.00Compensation Type:SalaryIncentive Eligible:NoSales Commission Eligible:NoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
