It requires the ability to understand project needs, gather and analyze business requirements from downstream data mart consumers, collaborate closely with Lines of Business (LOB) teams on data mapping, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for technology teams. Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles as they relate to data analysis and reporting6. Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL for data analysis and reporting needs7. Practical experience with ETL tools and supporting data integration workflows8.
