Job Description

Role: Assistant Manager - Procurement Contract ManufacturingEmployment Type: ContractualContract Period: 12 MonthsFunction: Supply ChainCompensation Range: BDT 60,000+ (depending on how the interviews go, this is subject to change)Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager - Procurement Contract Manufacturing, will support the Contract Manufacturing Procurement agenda by managing sourcing, supplier performance, commercial analysis, governance, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and responsible sourcing across third-party manufacturing and service partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead sourcing activities and contract management for contract manufacturing partners and relevant service suppliers across assigned categories.Manage supplier relationships through clear KPIs, structured performance reviews, corrective-action follow-up, and capability-development initiatives.Develop and review cost models, business cases, savings analyses, conversion-cost assessments, and value-engineering opportunities to support commercial decisions.Ensure adherence to procurement governance, legal and audit requirements, complete documentation, and disciplined contract-repository management.Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and R&D to support product launches, capacity changes, and ongoing operational requirements.Monitor supply risks, supplier capacity, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and business-continuity actions for critical suppliers.Drive responsible sourcing expectations, including ESG compliance, safety, ethical procurement, fair-wage principles, and sustainable supply-chain practices.Identify and execute continuous-improvement and productivity opportunities while protecting service, quality, compliance, and supply continuity.Key Deliverables and Success MeasuresDelivery of agreed cost savings, productivity, and value-creation targets.Maintenance or improvement of contract manufacturing service levels.Effective supplier performance management and compliance with agreed KPIs.Timely contract renewals, complete documentation, and adherence to procurement governance requirements.Supply continuity with minimal business disruption and timely mitigation of material supplier risks.Successful implementation of continuous-improvement, value-engineering, and supplier capability initiatives.Required Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contract manufacturing, supplier management, or commercial operations.Working knowledge of sourcing processes, contract administration, supplier-performance management, cost analysis, and procurement governance.Ability to interpret commercial data, conduct structured analyses, and translate findings into practical recommendations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
