The Director will lead consulting engagements and client relationships with leading financial institutions, merchants, and ecosystem partners in Japan. This role requires strong consulting, problem-solving, project leadership, and business development capabilities. Key Responsibilities:Lead strategic consulting engagements focused on payments, portfolio growth, customer acquisition, customer engagement, loyalty, digital transformation, and business growthServe as a strategic advisor to major financial institutions and ecosystem partners in Japan, helping clients accelerate growth, strengthen customer value propositions, and drive business transformationBuild and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations to support clients' business objectives.Develop data-driven insights and executive-level presentations to address complex business challengesLead cross-functional project teams and ensure successful delivery of consulting engagements with high quality and measurable client impactCollaborate closely with Visa account executives and product specialists to identify client needs and develop new consulting opportunitiesContribute to the growth of Visa Consulting & Analytics by supporting revenue generation, client development, and thought leadership initiativesMentor and coach consultants and managers to strengthen team capabilities and support professional developmentWork collaboratively across Visa functions, including Product, Marketing, Data Science, Risk, Client Services, and Sales teams.Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in client-facing consulting roles with at least 5 years of consulting experienceProven ability to structure complex business problems and develop actionable recommendations for clientsDemonstrated experience leading complex client-facing engagements and managing executive stakeholder relationshipsExperience presenting recommendations and influencing decisions at C-level executive and senior management levelsStrong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a dynamic environmentNative-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
