Progress starts with you.Job DescriptionVisa is looking for an outstanding individual to join our Global Corporate Development and Ventures team (“CDMAV”) as Senior Director, Corporate Development and Ventures, Asia Pacific. CDMAV works closely with Visa’s business owners and executive leadership to define and execute our inorganic growth strategy, including M&A and strategic investments. The Senior Director, Corporate Development and Ventures, Asia Pacific will report to the Vice President, Global Corporate Development and be based in Singapore.Responsibilities:Lead proactive origination of acquisition and investment opportunities across Asia Pacific, building and maintaining a robust pipeline through deep relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and industry leaders.Help shape Visa's inorganic growth strategy by identifying industry trends, assessing emerging businesses and technologies, and partnering with regional and global business leaders to prioritize opportunities.Lead the evaluation, negotiation, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions and strategic investments across Visa's businesses in Asia Pacific.Partner cross-functionally with regional and global leaders across product, strategy, technology, finance, legal, and business teams to evaluate opportunities, align stakeholders, and drive transactions from origination through execution and integration planning.Conduct strategic, financial, and valuation analyses, lead cross-functional diligence efforts, and develop recommendations for senior management and executive leadership.Some travel is expected as part of the role.This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.Preferred Qualifications:15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modeling, valuation, and synergy analysisMeaningful experience overseeing all aspects of a deal, from idea generation to due diligence and negotiationsAbility to travel for projects (anticipate up to 25%)Proven track record in leading M&A transactions and strategic investments as a Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Private Equity professionalStrong understanding of the payments, fintech or tech sectors with a combination of U.S. and international experienceStrategic, analytic, and innovative thinker with creative problem-solving skillsDemonstrated thought leadership with ability to (1) influence executive stakeholders, (2) manage cross-functional teams to business outcomes, and (3) lead multiple transactions simultaneously while delivering on broader strategic initiativesHistory of managing, mentoring, and developing junior talent.Visa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
