Kahut Waste Services, a Waste Connections company, seeks a safety-conscious and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team.Schedule is Monday - Friday Start time is 5:30 AM and goes until the route is completed.Starting wage is $36.00/HRSafety Sensitive: YESKey Responsibilities:Operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated local route using manual transmission equipment to haul waste to Wasco LandfillOpportunity to receive training on Roll-Off manual transmission trucksPerform routine vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tiresPhysically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularlyMaintain courteous and professional interactions with customersPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedWorking Conditions:Climb in and out of the truck cab up to 40+ times per dayWork in all outdoor weather conditions, including wet and humid environments, with exposure to fumes and vibrationsModerate noise levelAdhere to all safety protocols to mitigate physical risks, such as moving mechanical partsMinimum Requirements:A minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience is required, including mandatory experience with manual transmissions and 53' trailers.High School Diploma or GEDStable work history (at least 2 years in most recent position)Excellent customer service and communication skillsClean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations (49 CFR 383.51)Ability to handle the physical demands of the jobBasic knowledge of truck components for pre- and post-trip inspectionsTo be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com.
