This role is ideal for candidates with experience in construction, landscaping, warehouse operations, manufacturing, public works, recycling, waste management, or other physically active environments.This position works outdoors year-round and requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.Essential Job DutiesTransfer Station OperationsPerform general labor and site support duties at the transfer station and compost facilityComplete litter collection, debris removal, and site cleanup activitiesAssist with maintaining environmental control systems, including stormwater, landfill gas, and leachate management systemsSupport daily facility operations as assignedTraffic Control & Equipment SupportSafely direct customer, commercial, and contractor traffic throughout the facilityHelp maintain a safe and efficient flow of vehicles entering and exiting the siteOperate small equipment and tools after receiving appropriate trainingIdentify and report safety concerns or operational issuesCustomer ServiceProvide professional and courteous service to customersExplain site procedures and safety requirementsAssist customers with navigating the facility safely and efficientlyServe as a positive representative of Waste Connections within the communitySafety & Environmental ComplianceFollow all company safety policies and proceduresWear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a safe work environment for employees, customers, and contractorsParticipate in safety meetings and training programsWork EnvironmentThis is an outdoor position.
