Job Description

Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, Heavy Equipment Operator, to work at our Central Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA.Pay range is $28.00/HR with and increase to $29.00/HR after 90-days pending a positive performance review.Schedule is Wednesday-SundayShift is 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Saturday, SundaySafety Sensitive: YesQualified candidates must have 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:REQUIRES ability to efficiently & safely operate 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience.Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.Knowledge of basic computer skills.Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
