Pierce County Refuse Lemay is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Diesel Mechanic in Frederickson, WA, to support our heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance teams. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of heavy truck/diesel mechanic experience (experience, 3 years)
  • Experience with diagnostics and repair of heavy-duty equipment (experience)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days) (experience)
  • Welding experience (MIG) preferred (experience)
  • Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and vehicle safety standards (experience)

  • Use diagnostic tools and software (Cummins Insite, Davie‑4, Allison DOC)

  • Execute MIG welding and basic fabrication tasks
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm repair quality and performance
  • Record repairs, parts, and hours using fleet maintenance software
