Job Description

Waste Connections of Wyoming is seeking a safety-focused CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for servicing a combination of residential and commercial customers while operating a rear load garbage truck. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.Position DetailsPosition: CDL Rear Load DriverPay: Starting at $22.00 per hourSchedule: Monday through FridayStart Time: 5:00 AMHours: Approximately 40 hours per week with overtime as neededRoute Type: Residential and Commercial CollectionEssential Job FunctionsSafely operate a rear load garbage truck on assigned collection routes.Service residential and commercial customers in accordance with scheduled route assignments.Read and follow route sheets, work orders, and dispatch instructions.Operate hydraulic controls to collect and unload waste materials.Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.Maintain accurate records and comply with all DOT, company, and safety regulations.Transport collected materials to designated disposal or transfer facilities.Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the public.Perform additional duties as assigned.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsRegular lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of containers weighing 50 pounds or more.Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday.Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.Exposure to noise, moving mechanical equipment, vibration, dust, and other environmental conditions associated with waste collection operations.Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.QualificationsValid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required.Must be at least 21 years of age.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic truck maintenance.Strong safety mindset and commitment to following company policies and procedures.Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not required.Why Waste Connections?Waste Connections is built on a culture of safety, integrity, and respect.
