One where self-directed, entrepreneurial professionals are trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and drive results.We're looking for a Project Manager who wants to make a direct impact on landfill gas, leachate, and stormwater infrastructure projects while partnering with operations leadership to support environmental compliance, capital improvement initiatives, and long-term landfill development.Why Join Us?Culture: A workplace where empowered, self-directed professionals know their work matters.Integrity: We do what we say and keep our promises to our employees, customers, and communities.Growth: We invest in developing future leaders and provide opportunities to advance within Engineering and Operations.Impact: Lead projects that directly influence landfill performance, environmental compliance, and long-term operational success.Qualifications5+ years of gas systems and/or leachate removal systems operations experience is preferredComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel/Word and the ability to learn and use company specialized applicationsExcellent mechanical and technical aptitudeKnowledge of heavy equipment operationWillingness to relocate for promotional opportunitiesResponsibilitiesResponsible for the installation and maintenance of landfill gas and leachate collection and control systems that support a High BTU landfill gas plant, including the supervision and direction of technicians, operators, and contractorsPlan, install, and maintain stormwater and leachate systems in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performanceCollect and manage data entry of daily operations, materials, and equipment usedOperate and maintain liquid management system pneumatic or electric driven pumpsUse Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materialsSupervise gas technicians/operators and contractors; delegate work assignments (approximately 40%)Train gas technicians/operators on GCCS and leachate systems operations and maintenance activities; mentor and evaluate technician proficiencyProvide project management support to management for GCCS and leachate systems design and constructionParticipate in the development of LFG-related capital and expense budgetsBe available for on-call response (physically on site or by phone as required) to GCCS-related malfunction eventsResponsibilitiesManage GCCS, leachate, and stormwater infrastructure projects from planning through executionCoordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal operations teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budgetMonitor project costs, schedules, and resource utilization and provide regular project updates to managementSupport permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental reporting activities related to landfill gas, leachate, and stormwater systemsLead and coordinate GCCS, leachate, and stormwater system design, construction, maintenance, and improvement projects in partnership with landfill leadership and contractorsTo be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at Waste Connections Careers.We Keep Our Promises!At Waste Connections, we believe in empowering our employees.
